Our Fresh Cooking Chorizo Criollo Sausage is lean meat that is kneaded, put into a sausage casing, and left to dry. It has a pork taste and a meaty aroma. Ideal for building deeply savory fillings and hearty dishes with a clean, meaty bite. Perfect for empanadas, arepas, tacos, picadillo bowls, stuffed peppers, ragu-style sauces, and batch-cooked menus. The 2kg format is made for foodservice easy portioning, reduced waste, and dependable performance from freezer to service. Chorizo criollo is a hugely popular sausage in Argentina, unlike the normal chorizo, there's no paprika involved in their making, hence their marbled-white color.

Storage

Keep frozen: Store at -18°C or below.
Defrost safely: Thaw overnight in the fridge (0–5°C) in a covered container.
After thawing: Keep refrigerated and cook within 24 hours (or follow pack label guidance).
Do not refreeze once thawed.
Cook thoroughly before serving.

Classic picadillo: Sauté with onion, garlic, peppers and tomato; finish with olives/capers and herbs for an authentic touch.
