Our Sliced Somalo Chorizo Vela Picante is a premium Spanish slicing chorizo from La Rioja, known for its smoky, garlicky kick. Made with thicker cuts of pork, it delivers a leaner, meatier bite that’s become a firm favourite for our style plates.
Crafted by Martínez Somalo a family producer of Spanish charcuterie since 1900 this chorizo is seasoned with Pimentón de la Vera, the distinctive smoked paprika from a single valley in western Spain, giving it its deep red colour and unmistakably rich smoky flavour.
Fully cured and ready to eat, it’s perfect for sandwiches, tapas, and charcuterie boards no cooking needed. Shelf-stable and no refrigeration required.
