Our puntillitas, also known as chipirones or baby squid are a trendy ingredient in Southern Spanish cuisine. They are also called chopitos depending on where you are.

They tend to be very small, so the best way of serving them is to coat them in harina de freir, a special and quickly fry them until golden brown. Serve with fresh lemon and a very cold beer!  Be sure to check them and de-quill appropriately!

They are caught in the Japanese Ocean. Whole and head-on, they are individually quickly frozen on the boats to ensure their freshness and packaged in 1 kg boxes. Each puntilla measures around 3-6 cm in length.


Storage:

To store baby frozen squid keep it in the freezer. If you are planning of consuming the meat defrost it thoroughly and then keep stored in the fridge until consumption.
